Suicide truck blast kills 28 in northern Iraq

At least 19 of those killed were children.

The blast left a 10-foot crater in the ground and damaged 10 homes in the Shiite Turkmen village of Qubbak, about six miles northeast of Tal Afar.
But it won't be affecting any Americans' daily commute, so it will not be mentioned again in tomorrow's news.

Good point, however a bomb going off in the middle east is unfortunately as much a daily occurance there, as a fender bender is here. An interstate bridge falling in the U.S. is unusual.

and the fact is the only real thing the bridge going down is an inconvinence for us motorists. It is sad a few people died, but it is no 9/11. Newsworthy, yes for a day or two but seriously clean it up & build a new one. Yawn.
