- A bald eagle swooped down over us, maybe 20 feet above our heads. Not close enough to be in any sort of "danger" but certainly close enough to make us swallow hard and watch in awe as it flew away back up to its nest in a treetop high above us.
- Maybe 45 minutes later, we got another breath-taking and mildly alarming show as 4 crows muscled in on the territory of some sort of hawk. Or vice-versa, I'm not really sure who was the aggressor, as I don't speak the avian tongue. But they were going at it, the four crows repeatedly divebombing and hipchecking the falcon. All five birds seemed to come out of it okay by the end, but the crows basically penned the falcon or hawk in to a single tree, and wouldn't let it leave. If it went anywhere else, they'd attack.

Walking is for the birds
On Sunday afternoon, my wife and I took a ridiculously long walk. The weather was beautiful, and we saw some amazing birds.
