Obama's girls are lucky to be so young right now. The chances of getting caught in compromising photos of under aged drinking or scandalous relationships or having to deal with accidentally hitting a man with your car and killing him are things they won't have to deal with for a while. By the end of the 2012 election cycle the oldest will be 14 with budding possibilities of resentment and rebellion. If her father is re-elected she'll have to start dealing with the problems associated with being the offspring of a prominent politician and what that means when dating.
Back to poor* Meghan. Being the daughter of John McCain is a hell of a pickle when dating. It's enough to turn you off of politics and men. What's a girl to do?
Meghan McCain and How Her Father's Campaign Killed Her Love LifeWow. Now that's a visual. Sounds like a win-win scenario. Writing and girlfriends. Classic!I am not only turned off by people who voted for Barack Obama, but I am also turned off by people that voted for my dad—or more so, obsessive supporters of my dad. Recently, over dinner, a guy started explaining his reasons for supporting President Obama during the election (I didn’t ask, I think the poor guy felt guilty) and I immediately found any attraction I had previously had dissipate. But same thing happens if a guy starts talking about all the reasons why my father should be president. I have the ultimate Catch-22 in post-election dating. So where does that leave me, and who exactly am I attracted to? Let’s just say I’m spending a lot of time writing and even more time with my girlfriends.
*This of course is a figurative term meant to show sympathy for the young woman's troubles. It is in no way indicative of her financial standing.
