Apparently smoking is bad for babies even if said smoking doesn't happen anywhere near them.
Warning over 'third hand smoke'Initial reaction, "Then why is it the human race had no problems proliferating itself when smoking was prevalent?" Jehovah fucking Krishna! It is amazing that those born during the so-called Baby Boom weren't all a bunch of tumorous mutants who are capable of little more than being a burden on our health care system.
Many people are unaware that even smoking away from babies or pregnant women presents a risk, according to US research.
Poisons in cigarette smoke can linger on fabrics or hair, but a survey of 1,500 households found that fewer than half of smokers knew this.
Only a quarter had strict rules about not smoking in the house, according to the report in the journal Pediatrics.
Well when I put it that way...
Second thought.
I am going to make certain that every parent is fully aware of this research. I will then tell them that I smoke and therefor they should keep their children away from me, my vehicles, and my property. They should also instruct their spawn to not accept any gifts from me.
See? I turned it into a positive. I'm trying (and generally failing) to be less cynical.

Nice flip to the positive. I suppose licking the lead paint in most any older home is still OK compared to the evil of third hand smoke?
Next thing you know the EPA will have to use superfund money to tear down the homes of smokers!
A friend of mine is in Africa. There was a (relatively recent ebola outbreak in which a majority of the people employed with his company there, if not contracting ebola outright, showed flu-like symptoms. He remained healthy... why?? TOBACCO KILLS EBOLA!!!
