Reminder

There are still people out there who think Reagan was a great President. Some consider him the best Republican since Lincoln while considering George W. Bush an embarrassment at best.

Let's face it, Bush is a criminal. Why he is in the Oval Office and not in a prison is beyond me. Public school taught me that life is unfair a majority of the time. My dad and grandfather taught me that it's even worse than that. So I deal with it. Mounds of evidence and testimony about all kinds of heinous crap yet there is no lynch mob chasing him with pitchforks and torches. I can deal with that. Russians never went after Stalin. Germans never went after Hitler. In the face of such audacity you just kind of sit back with mouth agape. Like when you see a homeless guy taking a crap in a convertible. You know that what they are doing is wrong but it is also clear they are crazy and don't care. Do you really want to deal with that situation? So you just try not to stare.

All that said, this is a reminder that the core of the Reagan administration formed the core of the Bush regime. The only difference is that Reagan got away with it.
