Vandals damage Stonehenge

LONDON (AFP) - Vandals used a hammer and screwdriver to vandalise the Stonehenge ancient monument, the first such incident for decades, officials said Thursday.
Decades? I'd think centuries. Why isn't the media making a bigger deal about this? Forget about Al-Quaeda, the Vandals are much tougher. Everything I'd read previously suggested the Vandals stopped ransacking the Empire years ago, but apparently I was misinformed and/or they're back. They sacked Carthage, they sacked Rome, now they've sacked Stonehenge. This is big news! Why didn't anyone tell me they were still a force to be reckoned with?

What do you suppose their designs on stonehenge are? I mean, I can understand the desire to raze Rome, but the only thing to pillage at Stonehenge is rocks. They must have plenty of rocks back in Vandal-land. (Vandalania? Vandalon? Vandelaware? I'd better go look them up...)

Aww! You shouldn't have backed off the original premise. The first half of this post is the most awesome thing I've read in days.

The Vandals are from Orange County. Every punk knows that Orange County rocks big time so I can't see the point in going after such a small chip. I'm betting they have an alibi for the time period when the crime occurred. People always blame them for stupid shit.

And yeah, The Vandals tend to sack every venue they play. At least their fans do.

I'll file that away for next time: "Don't pull back the curtain on the great Oz." Got it. Thank you for helping me improve my craft.

I deleted the lackluster second half of the post, then realized that meant I no longer had a link to the original article. Oops. Think it was on yahoo news.
