A tangent I wandered off on while looking for a good link to The Zeppo for my previous post.
While he was best known as the unfunny wooden straightman of the Marx Brothers, turns out Zeppo was also a businessman, agent, and inventor. His factory built motorcycles, and vital parts for the war effort. He invented the Marman Clamp and a portable cardiac monitor. He stopped doing what he was famous for, and found a whole new niche.
