BBC censors The Pogues' Christmas classic

A spokesman said: "This step has been taken as this is a word that members of our audience would find offensive."
Oh, for fuck's sake! On behalf of bums, punks, old sluts on junk, scumbags and maggots everywhere, I am offended that those words weren't censored either.

They censored 'fagot'? What the hell do they have against referring to someone as a piece of kindling material?

I think Joan of Arc might be offended.

Plus, what else could they find to rhyme so well with maggot?

Then the french would get all upset... Besides, that's a terrible rhyme and the accent's all wrong...

Agate or Sagat, as in Bob, a real insult?
