Michael Mukasey thinks waterboarding is a-o-k!

Hey Jake, should you get into office, you'll want to have this guy be your Attorney General, too. He may look old, but he likes to waterboard. Here's tons of links about his passion for waterboarding

Most of the time, when someone says publicly that they "don't know if" something "was or should be" illegal, it's not that they don't honestly know. Usually it means they had tried it before, and feel they shouldn't be penalized for having done so. I'm completely okay with Mukasey having waterboarded before, as long as he didn't inhale.

And he could have meant it as a general thing, like how saying "pot should be legal" doesn't mean you personally smoke pot. You might just like liberty. Or maybe you think our government has better things to do than spend time, energy and money punishing people for consentual crimes. Or you could be a heroin or cocaine addict, who's hoping pot will open the door for your drug of choice further down the road.

So, we should give Mike Mukasey the benefit of a doubt. He might NOT be an utterly clueless tool of the Military-Bush-Industrial Complex. He might NOT be completely un-informed and ill-equipped for the job to which he has been nominated.

He might just be wifebeater, or a closeted S&M fan, neither of which would make him any worse than Cheney.

>might NOT be completely uninformed

At first I wrote that as "he might not be completely uniformed".

Imagine the frightening picture I would have had to put in THAT post.
