Katie Couric Goes to War

OHMYGOD! Katie Couric is going to Iraq! I mean, like, she is so pretty and sexy and stuff and she's going to Iraq. Cuz, like, it's all safe enough now so that we can send MILFs into combat zones that aren't really combat zones because we've already won and junk. But just like ohmygod we can now run a news story about Iraq that shows something sexier than dead bodies!

It will be Ms. Couric’s first trip to the war zone. Mr. Kaplan said Ms. Couric had decided the trip was important as a way to lay out the issues before the report that the American commander in Iraq, Gen. David H. Petraeus, is due to make to Congress next month.
