Only Fags Hate Dykes

BBC News - US school cancels prom 'over lesbian date'
A school board in the US state of Mississippi has cancelled a high school prom after a female student asked to attend with her girlfriend.
Thus reads the opening line of the article. First thing I thought, "Those assholes did that on purpose to throw blame back on the girl." Can you imagine what a bunch of redneck girls with cases of hairspray are going to think when they are told they will no longer have a prom? They'll have to make out with their cousin in the barn like they do any old night. Where's the magic in that?

The article continues...
Ms McMillen said cancelling the prom was an act of 'retaliation'.

'A bunch of kids at school are really going to hate me for this,' she told local media.
Glad the ACLU is on board with this one. She might also need some bodyguards after this. Every pissed off bull-dyke within driving distance should offer up some assistance. The football and wrestling teams would get their asses whooped if they tried anything.
She also said that when she asked a teacher about the school's ban on same-sex dates at the prom, she was told she had to remember where she was.
Maybe the school board needs to remember WHEN they was (had to put that into the native language of Mississippi just in case they read this), the 21st fucking century!

Let the lezzies dance!

This story has been brewing for a while now. The ACLU was involved from the beginning. The school's policy states that prom dates must be of the opposite sex and that the girl in question couldn't wear a tux. According to one article, the school went so far as to state that the girl and her date (also a student at the school) could not even arrive together.

The ACLU threatened to sue if the school didn't change their policy. Before the deadline, the school decided to cancel the prom because it was becoming a "distraction". (Though they don't seem to want to admit it had anything to do with the gay couple thing.)

The ACLU has filed a lawsuit on behalf of the student to force the school to hold the prom, allow her and her date to attend, and to allow her to wear a tuxedo.

The good news is that not everybody is reaction with hate. There are students supporting these two girls. There is also a hotel owner in New Orleans who has offered to bus down the student body and hold a prom for free at one of his properties.

Now that sounds like people with a good moral compass doing something noble. Kudos to them!

I believe this is all the result of that song "I Kissed a Girl" that's been so popular!
