Okay, I confused the article publish date with an event that happened some time ago. So the typographical error was, "a salute in the direction of then Vice President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr." That would make things less confusing.
I followed a headline for "Eulogy for Kennedy" which turned into "Not Dead Yet".
I've always liked the Dead Kennedys.
Fucking misleading headlines.
