Zombies Take Austin

Nazi Zombies! Run! At least that's what the road signs said.

But when hackers changed Austin area electronic road signs, not everyone was amused.
Road signs warn of zombies

'Even though this may seem amusing to a lot of people, this is really serious, and it is a crime,' said Austin Public Works spokesperson Sara Hartley. 'And you can be indicted for it, and we want to make sure our traffic on the roadways stays safe.'
She managed to say it with a straight face. In fact it was totally humorless. Oh no! The zombies really did take over Austin.

I dunno if you heard about this, but a hacker recently discovered that the default password on these road signs is always "DOTS"... or, if it's not "DOTS", then a ctrl-alt-del kind of key combination RESETS THE PASSWORD (to "DOTS").

I have not (yet) confirmed this.

If Zombies did attack Austin, but the government managed to contain it, you can be sure they'd cover it up afterwords.

Not that I think it was any such nonsense. Only a fool would think so. Oh, it was just a hacked traffic sign, just like Aliens didn't really invade the eastern seaboard in the 30's, that was just Orson Welles.

P.S.: I'll be unable to blog the rest of the day, as I'm busy stocking up on canned goods and ammunition, then building a barricade on every landing of the staircase.

Don't forget to stock up on chain saws and chain saw accessories! You'll need them for the total dismemberment of the reanimated corpses.

(Yay. My job is safe.)

I am hacking off one of my hands and getting a cool arm saw like in Army of darkness.
