Surfer's Jumping the Gun

Perusing my surf news I saw this and was initially amused by it showing up over a week early. Surfers usually have better timeing.
It's Winter Solstice today - the World's Greatest Holiday

December. 21, 2008, marks the solstice—the beginning of winter in the Northern Hemisphere and summer in the Southern Hemisphere. The precise moment of the 2008 solstice will be December 21, 2008 at 12h04 UT/GMT.
I looked the thing over and realized it was some huge article about how all other winter holidays are really just celebrations of this annual solar event. But it's part of a surf magazine. There are lots of places I find stuff where this may have popped up but the surf news would have been, well, not dead last. Seriously, not a major prospect though.

So, yeah, umm... If you are one of those freaks who has no idea about the Solstice and want a quick run down to find out why the birth of Jesus Fucking Christ is not the reason for the season then you are a fucking moron and I have no idea what you are doing visiting us here.

Shit, I meant to say go read the article. No offense intended.
