Supposedly Neo's passport from the original Matrix film expired on 9/11/2001. There are those saying that this is exactly ten years after Bush Sr. gave his New World Order speech. This would be cool since passports are good for ten years and would also provide an interesting historical tie-in for the expiration date. It is not the case. That speech was given in March of 1991. The film was released in 1999.
