Bush plans to lock you up

Radar Magazine has a full story on what may be a secret government list of citizens to detain if martial law is declared.
So said Jake in a comment to one of my posts last week. It was such a long ranty post, I doubt anyone but Jake read it, and thus probably no one else read his comments. The article he linked to in that comment (quoted above) is freakin' terrifying. If you've ever expressed a political opinion on-line, on the phone, or at a rally, you'd best read that article.

All I have to say to that is, if they try that shit, they had better fucking lock me up.

Yeah, I'd also feel insulted if I wasn't deemed radical enough to be locked up. :)

Fact of the matter is...

I may be ten times crazier than David Koresh, but I'm pretty much a lone nut. Without a legion of devout followers or the ability to call any sizeable group of people to action it is in the best interest of the government to let me roam and rant to maintain a facade of liberty. And while I may be a lone nut, it's pretty well determined that I'm not a Lee Harvey Oswald (as they would like us to think he was), Ted Kaczynski or a Timothy McVeigh. And while my high profile civil liberties past means they like to keep tabs on me, it means they know enough about me that I can use the words guns, bombs, and airplanes in an opening sentence on the telephone and the spooks will leave me alone.

So even with my repeated calls to storm the White House and put the Bush regime's heads on spikes, my encouragement to toss out all government and embrace true self determination, and, perhaps most blasphemous of all, my absolute and vocal desire for the abolition of the monetary system, they ain't comin' for me. I'm just too damn crazy for my own good.

Very liberating.
