Sending someone else to do your dirty work

As the Times reported Sunday, Bush has given an "amber light" to an Israeli plan to attack Iranian nuclear sites with long-range bombing capabilities.

"Amber means get on with your preparations, stand by for immediate attack and tell us when you're ready," the Pentagon official said.

You'd almost think they didn't understand that throwing your weight around just provokes further violence and gives recruitment ammunition to terrorists.

But, of course, they do. You know why our Government keeps pushing for all this militaristic bullshit? It's 'cause it's in their best interests to make the rest of the world hate America. Isn't that dreadful?

If more countries that hate us, and more terrorists plot against us, more Americans will vote for the candidate that supports lucrative defense contracts. The more we fear, the more rich they become, so they do whatever it takes to scare the crap out of us. Even if that means increasing the chance we'll be killed by terrorists or die from anxiety-related health complications, they're still happy to screw us over further in pursuit of the almighty dollar.
