Take care that your satirical image can't be taken to mean exactly the opposite of what you were trying to convey.
Case in point, the image to the right. ->
Are they mocking or agreeing with Conservative's denigrations regarding Obama's patriotism? Are they making fun of that Fox pundit that called it a "terrorist fist jab", or are they applauding and echoing her insane disconnect from modern culture? A random Joe at the news stand who's never read the New Yorker might not know. As such, this image could easily adorn the cover of either a right- or left- wing magazine.
I'd be inclined to say they're mocking the right-wing. But this image is a lot like that dark cave on Dagobah - you'll find in it only that which you bring with you.
Perhaps that's a marketing campaign. Maybe they're trying to lure in unsuspecting neocons and convert them?
Tangent Alert: In that case, what a great idea! We should plaster this blog with pictures of Dubya's smilin' face in a "mission accomplished" cockpit and happy Americans pumping gas into their SUVs while Wally and The Beav count large stacks of cash in the background. If we're lucky, it'll add some venture capitalists to our readership, and we'll end up with a lucrative movie deal. Repeated Expletives: The Motion Picture. This film has not yet been rated.
