US detains 'top al-Qaeda figure'

Damn. These top al-Qaeda guys just keep getting captured.
US detains 'top al-Qaeda figure'
A top al-Qaeda figure suspected of having close ties to Osama Bin Laden has been taken to the US-run Guantanamo Bay detention camp, the Pentagon says.
At least this time they didn't call him al-Qaeda's number two. The US has captured/killed a lot of al-Qaeda number twos. I was beginning to think al-Qaeda was made up entirely of number twos. It is safe to say that America has caught a lot of number twos in Afghanistan and Iraq, but how much of it was al-Qaeda's? The government continues to just flush rush them off to America's toilet, Gitmo. That's where we do our number one waterboarding operations on all the number twos.

Maybe it is all "number twos," and when we finally find Number One, it will be Patrick McGoohan.

Or a monkey behind the mask. Did the door to my apartment just close on it's own?

"I will not be pushed, filed, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered! I am not number! I am a human being!"

That show was freakin' genius.

Oh, and the conspiracy theorist inside me apologizes if I just stepped on your metaphor, Dig.

I mean, if you were trying to be artful while intentionally implying that Bin Laden works for Bush, I may have just overdone the Prisoner references in such a way that it buried your subtle message.

Remember Hogan's Hero's? Maybe Osama naming you as his number 2 is like being sent to the Russian front!
