Her: If you get a chance, could you come over to my machine and take a look at it? It's been doing the same thing all day and none of the maintenance guys have been able to fix it.Jake: Yeah, but you've probably had Larry, Curly and Moe working on it.
Her: No. (Competent Maintenance Guy 1) and (Competent Maintenance Guy 2) have both looked at it and they couldn't fix it either.
Jake: I notice you didn't have to ask who Larry, Curly and Moe were.
Her: I suppose the polite thing would have been to feign ignorance. 'Who?'
