AWPC

The supervising manager for maintenance and die shop (my boss' boss) was recently promoted. He is going from his comfortable office out in the factory to a more comfortable one in the front office. The entire time I have been in maintenance our interactions have consisted of him saying good morning to me. Never anything more than that. But now there has been some reshuffling of managerial responsibilities to cover his absence.
Me: With Rick getting promoted and all this reshuffling it finally dawned on me where I'd heard his name before.

Him: You have?

Me: Yeah. Remember when you told me about when you were living in California back in the sixties and you took your brother-in-law to the hospital and they happened to be filming the Wild Angels?

Him: The Wild Angels?

Me: The movie with Peter Fonda and Nancy Sinatra.

Him: Oh yeah!

Me: Well Bruce Dern plays a Hell's Angel named Rick Kearns, aka the Loser.

Him: (laughing) No kidding? Isn't that the one where they have all the cemetary shots up at Big Bear?

Me: Yeah. And it's Rick Kearns who gets buried. He spends the last third of the film as a propped up corpse.

Him: (laughing harder) The irony is not lost on me.

You could start calling the front office "Mecca".
