About my WTC post

That isn't actually the footage I wanted to post here about the World Trade Center. The comparable section of Zeitgeist is far more compelling, but it didn't come up as a separate file in my initial youtube search. What makes the zeitgeist footage so much more damning is:
  • They interview one of the architects who designed the World Trade Center. He says the towers were specifically built to survive an accidental impact with a plane.
  • They show footage and evidence that indicates the support columns of the WTC were cut by thermite. They back this up with testimony from ground zero survivors about the explosions that happened before and between plane crashes.
  • They tell the tale of the mass confusion affecting the FAA and USAF on that day because of multiple scheduled drills involving hijacked planes. It includes recordings of actual air traffic control conversations and stats on Air Force intercept statistics - it goes beyond incompetence, and smells of enemy action. They make a pretty solid case that extremists in a cave in Afghanistan couldn't arrange for that opportunity.
  • They document inaccuracies and inconsistencies in the 9/11 commission's report. Two highlights that really struck me as "smoking guns":
6 of the 19 terrorists officially aboard the planes are now known to be alive, at least one has actually turned himself in, but the FBI still hasn't revised the list of hijackers.
We still have no official explanation for why building 7 collapsed - it was not struck by a plane, and collapsed in a demolition style that minimized damage to other buildings, yet it was completely ignored by the commission.
