Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., accused the CIA of a coverup. "The agency was desperate to cover up damning evidence of their practices," he said in floor remarks. "We haven't seen anything like this since the eighteen-and-a-half-minute gap in the tapes of President Richard Nixon."Attn: Dems: Please keep pushing. Chances are this trail leads right back to the white house.
Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., chairman of the Armed Services Committee, told reporters the CIA's explanation that the tapes were destroyed to protect the identify of agents is "a pathetic excuse," adding: "You'd have to burn every document at the CIA that has the identity of an agent on it under that theory."
Our future depends on our citizenry opening it's eyes. Moreover, it depends on the rest of the world having reason to believe not all Americans are evil. Neither of those will happen if the leadership of the democratic party doesn't get on the offensive.

Just for fun, I turned the quotes into an American Flag. But if your screen is a different width than mine it not only ruins the effect, it instead looks like I'm saying Kennedy is desperate. Guess I should go set it back to black text.
Blue will do.
