Viking Synchronicity

After my berserker rage last week, an interesting thing happened. Three different people at work noticed my necklace. It is an aegishjalmar pendant, a symbol sometimes referred to as the 'Helm of Awe'. This design was often found on the helmets of Viking warriors and was supposed to strike fear in the hearts of their enemies.

I've had mine since 1996 and the only time I take it off is when the string breaks. The last time that occurred was in 2003, before I even started working for my current employer. So why after three and a half years in which one or two people a year would inquire about the pendant I have worn every single time they have ever seen me did I suddenly have three people ask about it in one week? The odds aren't astronomically against it. Based on prior experience, there is one chance in a hundred that a coworker will ask about the pendant on any given work day. So having it happen thrice in five days is only slightly improbable. I just can't but wonder if it was glowing red as the blood of my ancestors boiled and screamed for vengeance?

I think Jung would lift an eyebrow.
