The venerable Weekly World News is stopping the presses for good. Parent company American Media is silencing one of the last vestiges of the hard-hitting investigative journalism.
Fortunately we still have Wikipedia to keep us informed, but I'll miss the old black-and-white tabloid. I don't know how I would have kept myself informed through my pre-World Wide Web adolescence without it. It was regular fodder for my 9th grade Current Events class reports. It's one of the only things I remember from that class--that and the teacher telling us that the Berlin Wall would not come down in our lifetimes.

Does this mean that Bat Boy will have to get a real job?
I believe he's already looking.
