Nice Guys Finish First

Classic Richard Dawkins documentary on the evolution of altruism, a subject which has produced some fascinating evidence of late. As much as I enjoyed Dawkins' latest book The God Delusion, I find this even more compelling because it simply shows a rational explanation how morality can occur without wasting time to mock the claim that it was carved into stone tablets by some unknowable entity on a mountain top.

And here's another BBC clip from the mid '80s

Now if only science could explain the evolutionary processes that led from Motörhead to Flogging Molly.

My favorite line from your first link-"That morality is said to be biologically rooted poses a "threat" to other fields of studies especially theology and philosophy, two disciplines that have long struggled with the notion of free choice."

They always view free choice as a threat don't they?
