LHC Back on Track

While it is still being repaired, the LHC will soon be ready for operation. This time, it's a race to the finish.

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) will start smashing its first protons in October and run through the winter to keep it ahead in the international race to find the elusive “God particle”.
For those folks who were really hoping the LHC would create a black hole that destroyed the Earth and subsequently all medical bills and credit card debts, you just have to hang in until this winter.
