Atheist's Bible

In the beginning there was nothing. It could have been something. Some say it was a singularity. A singularity, while seemingly something, has no dimension, so is really nothing. At least that's what we think was in the beginning. Not that it really matters because less than a second later there was something. This we have fairly decent evidence of. Such as that alarm clock that interrupted my pondering of the nothing by letting me know that I had to do something. Not that this is what happened. It didn't. Time, space and activities are mere representations of the notion that out of that seeming nothing came something that we now have to deal with. At least that's what the experts have lead me to believe.

Some have tried to argue with me that in the beginning was something, and that something is called God and that God created everything. I can't argue with them. We both believe in the same origin story only I call it nothing and they call it God. Both amount to the same thing, which is nothing.

As has been pointed out to me on numerous occasions, God backwards is dog. Nothing backwards is gnihton. I've never seen a backwards dog nor a backwards gnihton. I suspect I never will.
