The time is upon us! Saturday is the official start of National Novel Writing Month! I know I've hooked Rolfe into writing with me this year. I'd also really like to see clusterlizard give it a go.What is National Novel Writing Month? A crazy competition running through November where you challenge yourself (and others) to write a 50,000 word story in just one month. I've entered three times and have completed the challenge twice. (Last year just got a bit crazy with other events.)
What do you win? Glory!
What do you have to lose? All of your friends as you meld into your computer to write feverishly. (But you should be able to get most of them back come December.)

Since I can't bring myself to give up podcasting, November will consist entirely of me reading my first book, Black Whole Son. That way my creative efforts can be focused on book material.

let's see. 30 days in november. 50k / 30 = approx. 1,666 words / day. i'm sure you'd love for me to believe that's "just a coincidence."
i thought about doing it last year, but i'm lazy. now, i have the flu and i'm still lazy. i might give it a shot... i guess i have tomorrow to decide.
